Scrim "Post-Incunabula" pifho008 3in cdr £3

Chronological Obsession

Dropped Letters

Attention-deficient jams from the first 6 months or so of Scrim's triumphant return to South Leith. Tapes and synths and squeals and shit, all contained within the 3rd of the now-infamous Ash Reid folded covers.

Edwin Cruden & Graham Stewart "Waverley Park 2002" pifho006 3in cdr £3

Ambient psychedelic blues (stay with me on this) all the way from the Abbeyhill delta. Recorded straight to tape on the front porch way back in '02.

Limited edition of 21.

King Rib "High Water Everywhere Parts One And Two" pifho005 cdr £4

2 (too?) long tracks of looped-synth mania. The first one sounds like giant insects have moved into your head if you listen really loud on headphones (so of course that's what you should do) - the second one tries to make everything ok again.

Limited edition of 50, choice of 2 covers.

Scrim "Facetiae" pifho004 3in cdr £3

1. Divinity Calf
2. Deckle Fetishism

2 tracks from mid-2008, released in September. Features synth rumble/shriek/moan, bass stutter/squawk, and the most over-enthusiastic use of a delay pedal yet committed to tape.

Another Ash Reid folded cover - see disclaimer below.

Scrim (Untitled) pifho003 3in cdr £3

2nd effort from scrim, recorded and released early in 2008. 2 tracks of (mostly unsettling) belching bass, throbbing synth and occasional whisps of pink and white noise.

Housed in a folded colour photocopy of a drawing by Ash Reid. (Ali Robertson: "These Scrim 3 inchers sound braw 'n' all, but I'll be damned if them sleeves ain't hard to reassemble" - beware)

King Rib "Camp Hollers Volume 1" pifho002 cdr £4

The first of three (eventually) collections of bits and pieces from the extensive king rib archive of ambient, synthy shit (sans the infuriatingly superfluous chill-out-hip-hop beats that tend to accompany such things) recorded on 8-track in various bedrooms in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Limited edition of 50 copies

Scrim "Scrim's First Abyssal Confrontation" pifho001 cdr £4

Scrim first confronted the abyss back in early 2007 and documented their findings on this, their debut release.

2 x 10-minute tracks of fuzz synth drone, screaming feedback, screaming, and 505-pounding, looped and spewed out in a limited edition of 25, with a cover by Ash Reid.
